1. Use of This Website

This website provides information about VLTHRLAB's research, systems, and services. You may browse, read, and submit inquiries. You agree not to misuse the site, including attempting unauthorized access, scraping content, or submitting malicious data through forms.

2. Inquiries & Consultations

Submitting a contact form or scheduling a call constitutes an inquiry, not a binding engagement. A formal engagement begins only when both parties sign a written agreement specifying scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees.

We reserve the right to decline inquiries if the project is not a fit for our expertise or capacity.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, design, code, and documentation — is the property of VLTHRLAB and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Systems, models, and software developed for a client under a formal engagement are governed by the intellectual property terms of that specific agreement.

4. Confidentiality

Information you share through our contact form is treated as confidential and used solely to evaluate and respond to your inquiry. For formal engagements, a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) may be executed before sensitive information is exchanged.

5. Accounts & Research Workspace

VLTHRLAB operates a research management platform: registered users run research projects through defined phases, receive documents and feedback in a private workspace, and may interact with supervisors, reviewers, and other researchers. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the platform, or provide false information.

6. Academic Integrity & Acceptable Use

VLTHRLAB provides research assistance, mentorship, and managed research workflows. Documents, drafts, analyses, and other materials made available through the platform are research assistance and reference materials. They are not intended to be submitted, presented, or represented as your own original work for academic credit, qualification, examination, or publication where doing so would violate the rules of your institution or applicable law.

You must not use the platform to: commission or submit contract-cheating work; misrepresent authorship to an academic institution; request or provide work intended to be submitted verbatim as assessed coursework; or engage in plagiarism, data fabrication, or research misconduct. Where a supervisor is assigned through the platform, the supervisor guides and reviews; the researcher remains the author of record for submitted work.

We may refuse service, suspend accounts, and withhold deliverables where we reasonably believe the platform is being used for academic dishonesty.

7. Payments, Pricing & Refunds

Paid projects are priced by VLTHRLAB (or, where supervisors are engaged, by the supervisor through the platform's billing flow). A project may require a deposit, payable before paid deliverables are released, and a balance payment due when the final deliverable is published. Payments are currently made by bank transfer to the account shown in your workspace and are confirmed manually by our team. A payment is recognized only when our team confirms it in the platform; sending funds does not itself mark a payment as paid.

Refunds: a deposit is refundable in full if you cancel before review or production work has begun on your project. Once work on your project has commenced (document review, feedback, or deliverable production), the deposit is non-refundable except where we fail to deliver the agreed scope. If we cancel a project, all payments made for undelivered scope are refunded within 14 business days. Projects with no price set are provided free of charge.

8. Deliverables & Research Intellectual Property

Unless a project-specific written agreement states otherwise, ownership of the final deliverable produced for your project transfers to you upon full payment of the project balance. Until full payment, deliverables remain the property of VLTHRLAB and are provided for review only.

VLTHRLAB retains a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to retain project records for audit, quality, and legal purposes and, only with your consent, to publish or reference completed research publicly. Pre-existing lab systems, workflows, tools, and templates used to produce deliverables remain the property of VLTHRLAB.

9. User Content & Community

You retain ownership of content you submit to the platform (documents, comments, feedback, profile information). You grant VLTHRLAB a non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service, including showing your project content to assigned reviewers and administrators.

You must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harassing, or that contains another person's private data or credentials. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules, and we may act on reports from other users.

10. No Warranty

This website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the information on this site is complete, accurate, or up to date. Research and system development outcomes are inherently uncertain; we do not warrant specific results from any engagement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VLTHRLAB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or any services provided. Our total liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that specific engagement.

12. Third-Party Services

This website may contain links to or use third-party services (Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Unsplash, Google Fonts). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties. You access them at your own risk.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and applicable international laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
